Gregg Borror - Senior Pastor
“I've loved Mountain Park Church from the first Sunday my wife and I visited. We were struck by the fact that these are just normal folks working hard to make the world a better place by living for Jesus. I knew we all might share the same spirit when I saw that they were not just doing "church stuff" but really striving to make the Kingdom of God a reality from the Mountain Park Neighborhood all the way to other countries. I grew up in church, so I didn't want to be in a congregation that just perpetuates itself, my wife and I want to see the world change one life at a time. That's why I studied hard (Western Seminary MDiv and Portland Seminary DMin) and then began a search for a church family focused on the Word and the world. After a few tries, we found MPC in 1993 and have been here ever since. Are you looking for a different kind of church experience? Rick Wood - associate pastor of operations
“ I am originally from Texas and served as the Senior Pastor of a church in Southern California for 10 years. We loved that season of our lives and I loved the church community there in Port Hueneme. When it became evident that our season in SoCal was coming to an end, we felt called to the Portland area. Throughout my time pastoring a local church, I also ‘dabbled’ in the business world (internet marketing) and once in the Portland area I began establishing a real estate business with my wife Melissa. The longer I didn’t serve a local congregation, the more “restless” I became. I realized that I needed and wanted to use all my experience, gifting, education, and skills to serve a local congregation. That’s when Mountain Park appeared on my radar. From the first Sunday as a visitor I felt welcomed and genuine love. Come visit us and I know you will feel the same way!”
RYAN NOLAN - Youth Pastor
“I grew up in the Portland area with two loving parents who took me to church since I was a kid. After graduating high school, I went to Ecola Bible School in Cannon Beach, Oregon, and eventually graduated from Multnomah University with my degree in Bible and Theology. I am now married to my amazing wife, Bri, and we love going on adventures. Sometimes we might be camping in the middle of nowhere with our dog, other times it looks like trying a new restaurant. I love building friendships with people and laughing together. My passion for teaching students about Jesus started to take off at Ecola. The idea of building a foundation for a life focused on Jesus Christ for developing minds is essential for the world we live in. My goal is to cultivate an environment that values loving Jesus more and more each day. Therefore, we can live in a world knowing that our identity is a Child of God and nothing can strip us of that. I believe that our relationship with God looks individually unique, but we are created to be in community. So come visit and see what that looks like!”

Melissa Wood - director of worship & spiritual formation
I remember writing songs to Jesus when I was kid, and feeling my heart whelm with so much joy. Praise and worship has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. We were made for worship. But worship is so much more than music. Simply put, I have always described worship as this: “Our response to all of Who God is with all of who we are.” We worship with our words, our relationships, our work, and our very lives. After 17 years of leading worship at various churches and ministries, I am beyond excited to be leading worship here at Mountain Park Church. This is a congregation who truly worships with their lives. I’m honored to be doing the same alongside them. This place has felt like “home” since walking through the doors.
