Emerge Women’s Spring Bible Study Why Do You Believe That? A Faith Conversation by Mary Jo Sharp

How confident do you feel in talking about matters of faith? Through this study, Mary Jo Sharp desires to help us begin the lifelong journey of study to be a representative of Christ, sharing Truth with those not in the faith. Mary Jo Sharp is a former atheist from the Pacific Northwest who thought religion was for the weak minded. She now holds a Master’s degree in Christian Apologetics from Biola University and is the first woman to become a Certified Apologetics Instructor. Mary Jo has tried to give us some factual information we can use and has sought to help us develop the conversational skills we will need. Her desire is for us to come away from this study better equipped to enter into conversations about God with those outside the faith. This study begins Tuesday, February 24 at 9:30 a.m. in the Family Center Fireside Room and Wednesday evening, February 25 at 6:45 p.m. in the Café. Register February 15 and 22 in the lobby or join us either Tuesday morning or Wednesday evening. Cost is $20. Childcare is available on Tuesday mornings only. WHOLY FIT – A CHRISTIAN ALTERNATIVE TO YOGA To improve your balance, flexibility and strength, join us Tuesday nights at 6:30 p.m. The class is led by WholyFit certified instructor, Joan Cobb (also a personal trainer at Body Balance). Cost for the 7 week class is $35. Check out the Women’s Ministries page for details. MPC is offering a Spring session of WholyFit, a Christian alternative to yoga. To improve your balance, flexibility and strength, join us on Tuesday nights for a workout that’s good for body, mind and spirit. The sessions will be led by WholyFit certified instructor, Joan Cobbs, who is a personal trainer at Body Balance. We meet in the Family Center Fireside Room from 6:30 to 7:30 PM. Wear workout clothes, bring an exercise mat, towel and water bottle. Fee is $60 (March 3 to April 28), and drop ins may pay $10 each time. Make checks payable to Joan Cobbs. Class will not be held March 24, due to Spring Break.
