Awana

Clubs meet Thursdays, 6:30-8:15 p.m.

Awana is an international, non-denominational, Bible-centered children’s ministry providing a mid-week program for 3 year olds through 12th grade. Almost 2 million children worldwide participate in Awana! At MPC, Clubbers learn the Word of God through scripture memorization, and enjoy active games, singing, and encouraging messages. Children develop a firm foundation for life based on Biblical principles in a fun, caring and safe environment.

Awana is on Thursday evenings, September through May, 6:30-8:15 p.m. (follows the school year). Kids can join anytime during the year, and visitors are welcome any evening.

There are 3 elements to an evening at Awana:

GAME TIME: an energetic and fun time for children to participate in active, team oriented games appropriate for each grade level.

HANDBOOK TIME: focused, small group time reciting Bible verses and gaining an understanding of Biblical truths. A time to build relationships, with 3 to 4 children and 1 teacher per group.

LARGE GROUP  TIME: The entire Club gathers for singing, drama, object lessons and instruction in the principles of God’s word.

Awana staff and volunteers are required to pass criminal background and reference checks, and receive training on a regular basis.
