Women’s Ministry

Womens Ministry Page Photo and Quote

Our hope at Mountain Park Church is for every woman to be part of our ministry and find a place of love, acceptance and support – to talk, laugh, cry, process and journey through life together.   You are invited into a journey of intentional growth, building strong community with each other as we pursue deeper devotion to Jesus Christ through friendship, activities, extending ourselves to each other and our community, Bible Study and classes which minister to heart-felt needs.

Contact Gloria Bremner, Women’s Ministries Director, for more information.

CONNECTIONS:
Connecting women in friendships is at the heart of Women’s Ministries. Three times during the year, we will be making connections in a relaxed atmosphere. Join us for any or all of the activities, and bring along a friend. The activities will be publicized on the home page and on the Upcoming Events page – so keep an eye out!

PRAYER GATHERINGS:
Just as Esther was called to action on behalf of Israel, the Lord is calling us to pray on behalf of our families, church, nation, and world. Our ongoing prayer gathering meets each quarter for extended times of prayer.  Be a modern day Esther and join us for a Women’s Prayer Gathering. You are being called to pray for “Such a Time as This.”

FLYING SOLO:

Flying Solo events are designed to connect women who attend worship “solo.” If you have never been married, are divorced, widowed, or attend services without your mate, you’ll find the friendships that develop through Flying Solo fun and encouraging. Lunch Bunch meets for lunch the 2nd Sunday of each month. Call Kathleen Lofstrand at 503.590.7581 for more details. Watch for announcements of upcoming events.

AMEN SISTER:
Join our Amen Sisters group of young moms. Bring  your kids, grandkids and friends to enjoy a time of getting to know other moms as you enjoy activities designed to please both moms and kids.

SERVICE PROJECTS:
Throughout the year we will have opportunities to minister to the community through various service projects. This is a chance to bless others and truly live as Christ has called us to do. STEPPING UP…REACHING OUT is one such project, for the homeless and the hungry.

EMERGE BIBLE STUDY:
Emerge Women’s Bible Study meets Tuesday mornings at 9:30 a.m. in the Family Center Fireside Room, or Wednesday evenings at 6:45 p.m. in the Mountain Perk Café.

WHOLY FIT, CHRISTIAN ALTERNATIVE TO YOGA:
To improve your balance, flexibility and strength, join us Monday nights for a workout that is good for body, mind and spirit. Led by Wholyfit certified instructor, Joan Cobbs, personal trainer at Body Balance.
