We welcome Mike Stern, our new Associate Pastor of Body Life. Mike’s area of ministry is with adults, singles and families. If you have questions about Adult Ministries at MPC, including Home Groups and Community Groups, contact Pastor Mike.
“Then God said, ‘Let us make man in our image, in our likeness; So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.'” Though our great God is holy and eternal, He is also highly relational. It makes sense then, that having been created in His image, we too are made to be relational. In a world that is becoming increasingly impersonal, however, this is not always an easy thing to do. The Adult Ministries at Mountain Park Church exist to bring relationship back into the seat of priority in our daily living.
ADULT SMALL GROUPS: Sundays at 9:30 a.m.
The Adult Small Groups at Mountain Park Church are designed to give people the opportunity to connect with each other in meaningful ways through prayer, strong and relevant Biblical teaching, and by just spending time laughing together and loving one another. These groups have all the potential of helping people to step right into God’s relational purpose, and to ultimately go out and show a fast-paced, ever-changing and hurting world the deep love of Jesus. These groups meet together Sundays at 9:30 a.m., just before our main church service.
Our Home Groups even go a layer deeper. These are self-formed, smaller groups of around 8-16 people who gather together to deepen their relationships with each other and the Lord. Each group is unique and chooses studies, topics or curriculum that are more specific for the needs of that particular group. Prayer, Bible study and relationship building are all integral components, and as individuals relate, learn and grow with one another, the excitement of sharing Christ with others fast becomes a logical outgrowth of the overall Home Group process. These groups meet at various times and days throughout the week.
In a word, all of the Adult Ministries function to provide people with the opportunity to not only connect more deeply with Jesus (through the study and application of the Word), but to also develop relationships with other members of the Mountain Park Church family in a less formal setting.
